Patan Hospital, Lalitpur
Patan Hospital was built by UMN in 1982, to take over the work of the much smaller Shanta Bhawan Hospital, where UMN began medical work in 1956. It is now a self-sufficient institution managed by its Nepali staff, and recently became the teaching hospital of Patan Academy of Health Sciences. It continues its dedication to the provision of quality compassionate care for the disadvantaged, as well as playing a major role in the training of doctors and other health care professionals to work throughout Nepal.
